Overview
In the fall of 2023, Greater Atlanta Christian School (GAC) became one of the first schools in the nation to pilot TrekAI. Beginning with a small cohort of middle and high school students, GAC tested how TrekAI could enhance learning outcomes, streamline teacher workflows, and foster student engagement. The results were so compelling that within months, other teachers began requesting access. By January 2024, GAC had rolled out TrekAI across most middle and high school students. By the fall of 2024, the school expanded again, introducing TrekAI to 4th and 5th grade classrooms.
“We believe that every student has the potential to excel when given the right tools and support. TrekAI embodies this belief by offering a revolutionary approach to personalized learning that enhances student achievement and teacher effectiveness.”

President, Greater Atlanta Christian School
About GAC
Greater Atlanta Christian is a leading independent school in Georgia ranked at the top of the state for teaching quality, arts, and athletics. GAC leads Atlanta independent schools for AP curriculum options and exam pass rates, world language offerings, and STEM courses. Students of all ages from their youngest learners to our high school graduates thrive in vibrant learning environments.
The Challenge
As Greater Atlanta Christian School continued to expand its commitment to personalized, high-quality education, teachers faced the growing challenge of meeting every student’s individual needs within limited time. Students sought instant, reliable academic support outside of class hours, while teachers needed tools to streamline planning, feedback, and differentiation. The school was looking for a solution that could enhance learning without compromising safety, academic integrity, or human connection, and that’s where TrekAI came in.
Teacher Impact
TrekAI’s suite of 40+ AI tools quickly became indispensable to teachers across departments. Tools like the Lesson Plan Generator, Slide Creator, and Assessment Maker saved educators up to 6 hours per week, allowing them to focus more on teaching and less on task management.
“TrekAI is amazing. It did with the kids what I wish I could do with each of them individually, but I just don't have the time.”
— Jami Denton, High School Teacher
“I love using TrekAI in my classroom! The kids use it to brainstorm, study, and even proofread their lab reports. It’s an amazing resource!”
— Karyn Arnold, Middle School Teacher
“TrekAI is an excellent resource for my students when they need help with their writing. I’m able to upload my rubric, and TrekAI gives them targeted feedback before they come to me. It makes their revisions much stronger.”
— Jennifer Thomas, High School Teacher
AP Calculus teacher Terry Beasley and others now use TrekAI’s Chat Insights Dashboard to review aggregated student questions, allowing them to identify areas of struggle and adapt instruction in real time.
Student Experience
Students quickly discovered TrekAI as both a study partner and tutor. The platform’s Socratic-style AI tutor guided students through problem solving by asking probing questions rather than giving direct answers.
“If I’m having trouble with my math homework, I’ll type in the problem, and it’ll walk me through it instead of just giving me an answer.”
— Mary Grace, High School Student
One memorable example involved a middle schooler named Nancy, who struggled to understand the difference between heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures. When TrekAI asked what each word reminded her of, Nancy said “home” for homogeneous and “hot dog” for heterogeneous. TrekAI built on that analogy, explaining that a hot dog has distinct components (bun, sausage, toppings, etc.) while a home (like a homogeneous mixture) blends elements seamlessly. This guided reasoning helped Nancy retain the concept and improved her confidence.
Quantitative Results
GAC tracked measurable outcomes from its TrekAI implementation:
-
93% of students reported improved final exam grades after using TrekAI to study.
-
15% improvement in student outcomes correlated directly with TrekAI usage—often equivalent to a full letter grade increase.
-
Teachers reported saving up to six hours per week using TrekAI’s automated planning and assessment tools.
-
Increased engagement and confidence among students using TrekAI as a 24/7, judgment-free tutor.
Conclusion
Greater Atlanta Christian School’s TrekAI journey demonstrates how AI can transform teaching and learning when thoughtfully implemented. Through phased adoption, teacher empowerment, and student-centered design, TrekAI helped GAC achieve measurable academic growth and stronger classroom engagement—while reinforcing the school’s mission to provide exceptional, individualized education.
